Loma Linda, San Bernardino County
Loma Linda is home to a large Seventh-day Adventist community whose members live notably longer than most Americans, a pattern that has made the city one of the places researchers call Blue Zones. The church founded a sanitarium on the hill here in 1905, and it grew into Loma Linda University and its medical center. The city incorporated in 1970.
